Condemning the Hate March at Larnaca

On December 28, ELAM is organising another racist and intimidating march in Larnaca under the pretext of the “threat” from migrants and Turkish Cypriots. This takes place even before the wounds of the Turkish Cypriot musician Sertunc Akdogdu have healed, after he was stabbed in the stomach by «unknown» persons, during a similar march in the same town in early November.

Στις 28 Δεκέμβρη το ΕΛΑΜ διοργανώνει στην Λάρνακα ακόμα μια ρατσιστική και τρομοκρατική πορεία, με πρόσχημα τον «κίνδυνο» από τους μετανάστες και τους τουρκοκύπριους, πριν ακόμα κλείσουν οι πληγές του Τουρκοκύπριου μουσικού που στις αρχές του Νοέμβρη μαχαιρώθηκε στην ίδια πόλη στο στομάχι από «άγνωστους» μαχαιροβγάλτες μιας παρόμοιας πορείας.

Larnaka’da Düzenlenen Nefret Yürüyüşünü Kınama

28 Aralık günü, Larnaka’da, ELAM, sözde sebebi göçmen ve Kıbrıslı Türklerden gelen “tehdit” olan, ırkçı ve göz dağı vermeyi amaçlayan bir başka yürüyüş düzenliyor. Bu, Kasım başı aynı şehirde gerşekleşen benzeri bir yürüyüş sırası göğsünden, “bilinmeyen” kişilerce bıçaklanan Kıbrıslı Türk müzisyen Sertunç Akdoğu’nun yaraları daha kapanmadan gerçekleştirilmektedir.

A 28-YEAR-old Sri Lankan farmhand died after he was left untreated for two days after sustaining severe head injuries from a fall.Immigrant support group KISA is holding his employer and a private Nicosia clinic responsible.State pathologist Nicholas Charalambous said yesterday he had launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

KISA – Action for Equality, Support, Antiracism and the Cyprus Youth Board, in cooperation with other Cypriot human rights organisations and communities of migrants and refugees are organising the 11th Rainbow Festival.

Under the motto «Different Colours – One Country», the Festival is focused on the wealth and delight of colours and calls for joining the fight for integration and equal participation of all for substantially effecting multiculturalism, irrespective of race, colour, ethnic origin, religion, community, gender or any other differences.

The Festival is under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Culture Mr Andreas Demetriou
